On 85 hectares of wild paradise in southwestern Portugal, surrounded by rolling hills and just a few kilometers from the waves of the west coast, we are bringing Lumina Verde to life. A place for people who feel that the way we live, build, eat, and heal needs a fundamental transformation.

Our Centerpiece: The Self-Sustaining Retreat Center
An authentic place for seminars, workshops, and retreats—the foundation for genuine transformation. Whether you’re a coach looking for the perfect, undisturbed setting for your own group or a guest at a retreat who simply wants to completely unwind—you’ve come to the right place. We offer a secluded base camp for yoga, workshops, and deep periods of rest. And the best part: Everything here is 100% self-sufficient. Thanks to solar energy and smart water systems, we’re completely independent. We practice a truly organic circular economy and harness the pure power of nature without exploiting it. A place where you can arrive and let go right away.

Biological Construction at the LivingLab
Experience architecture that breathes. Our LivingLab is a place you can explore firsthand. We work with materials sourced from the region: clay, cork, wood, and lime. We use the latest innovations and build in a way that allows the building to work with the climate, not against it. Sleep under the stars in our glass geodesic domes and enjoy an ingenious, natural indoor climate that stays cool without any electricity—even when it’s 40 degrees in the summer. We demonstrate how to build in a cost-effective, healthy, and future-proof way. Guests can experience firsthand the unique atmosphere created by clay walls and cork insulation and learn in our workshops how to apply these techniques in their own homes.

Permaculture & the Living Archive
In response to climate change, organic farming and permaculture come together here. We don’t view our land as an area that „produces,“ but as an ecosystem that regenerates itself. Through water retention systems, strategic terracing, and the planting of climate-resilient varieties, we actively cool our microclimate. We preserve what industrial agriculture has often forgotten: heirloom, heat-tolerant fruit and vegetable varieties. We maintain a seed bank and monitor the water consumption and resilience of these varieties. We collaborate with other conservation projects and gene banks to ensure that knowledge about these plants is not lost.

Vegan Restaurant & Food Academy
Farm-to-table at its absolute best! Look forward to culinary power foods and bursts of flavor at our vegan restaurant. At our restaurant, ingredients go straight from the field to your plate. You can’t get any fresher, more seasonal, or more authentic than this. Fermenting, preserving, and canning—in our workshops and cooking classes, we teach traditional techniques from a new perspective.

Medical Expertise: Health at the Source
No marketing, no lifestyle trends, no nonsense. I’ll help you understand what your body really needs to stay healthy. We’ll set aside lifestyle trends and focus on scientific, evidence-based medicine. As a doctor, I’ll show you the limits of self-healing and when conventional medical care makes sense. Your doctor’s appointment with your fingers in the soil and the sun on your face… You’ll be surprised at how little of a „doctor“ you really need in your life—once you know what actually works.

Nature Conservation & Reforestation
Not every square meter of land belongs to humans. We have deliberately designated areas as nature reserves and fallow land. Here, nature is allowed to simply be. We follow principles such as Natura 2000 to ensure that we create habitats for local wildlife. We carry out targeted reforestation to cool the microclimate and promote biodiversity. Today, we are planting a forest that we may not live to see in all its glory, but which will be of inestimable value to the ecosystem.

Lumina Verde becomes a stage for people who want to feel deeply connected. We organize small festivals, gatherings, and moments of community. Music, dance, and movement are expressions of pure joy of life. Here, like-minded people come together to unleash their energy in a genuine, ecstatic, and authentic setting. Feel your body in motion, let rousing DJ sets and deep bass wash over you, and dance until you’re completely free. Your stage to crank up your life energy and simply feel deeply connected and alive!
